Troopers investigate deadly crash near Taylor Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK –  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred on I-240 WB near S Western Ave on Sunday, according to KOCO.

A 41-year-old woman was driving an SUV west when she strayed off the road and slammed into a tree around 4 a.m. A 37-year-old male passenger was ejected from the SUV in the crash.

First responders pronounced the driver and her passenger dead at the scene.

Authorities believe wet road conditions may have been a factor in the collision.

Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
