Troopers investigate deadly crash near Pryor in Mayes County
PRYOR, OK – According to FOX 23, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred at US 69A and Oakwood Drive on December 2.
An 84-year-old woman was driving when she ran a stop sign, causing her vehicle to hit the driver’s side of a car driven by an 84-year-old man.
First responders transported the 84-year-old man and his 86-year-old female passenger to an area hospital.
While the 84-year-old driver of the striking car was not hurt in the collision, the 86-year-old passenger of the victim vehicle was pronounced deceased by a family member on December 11, more than a week later.
At the time the original FOX 23 article was reported, the 84-year-old driver of the victim vehicle was receiving treatment for head injuries.
