Troopers investigate deadly 3-vehicle wreck in Payne County
PAYNE COUNTY, OK – According to KOCO, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal three-vehicle collision that occurred at OK 33 and Range Rd on Wednesday afternoon.
A 19-year-old was driving a Nissan Juke east on OK 33 when they strayed into oncoming traffic and hit a box truck before colliding with a Mitsubishi Outlander operated by a 36-year-old around 4:15 p.m.
First responders pronounced the Nissan and Mitsubishi drivers dead at the scene. They transported a passenger from the Nissan to an area hospital in critical condition.
The box truck driver was not hurt in the wreck.
