NORMAN, OK – What started as a pursuit in Noble ended in a crash just outside the Walmart Supercenter in Norman on Saturday.

According to News9, it appears that a teenage driver was fleeing from Noble police, and the chase came to a close when they crashed their vehicle off the intersection of Classen Boulevard and East Cedar Lane Road in Norman.

Police did not say if they used a PIT maneuver end the chase or if this technique contributed to the crash.

Noble and Norman police reported no lane closures, but assisted each other in managing the flow of traffic and with the investigation.

Police have not confirmed the events leading up to the pursuit and collision, nor have they said whether the teenage driver was injured. At this time, it’s unclear whether the teenager will face any charges.

Vehicle accident closes I-35 and State Highway 9 connector in Norman 

NORMAN, OK – Officials had to temporarily shut down the southbound I-35 ramp connecting to State Highway 9 on Monday due to a vehicle accident. 

News9 confirmed that the connector has reopened. At the time of the reporting, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation told drivers to proceed with caution while going through the active construction zone. 

Officials did not specify how the crash unfolded or if anyone was injured. 

Minor injuries sustained in two-vehicle crash in Southwest OKC 

SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Minor injuries were sustained in a two-vehicle crash that happened in Southwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

KOCO said the collision occurred at the intersection of Southwest 15th Street and Mustang Road. Officials closed Southwest 15th Street for the scene clearance and investigation period. 

The force of the crash left the two vehicles with front-end damage. Authorities have since cleared the scene. 

The exact cause of the collision was not reported, and authorities did not say how many people were injured.

At least 1 injured in collision near Baptist Medical Center in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a collision that occurred south of Baptist Medical Center on Wednesday.

OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker reported the crash at 11:50 a.m., saying it happened at the intersection of Northwest 50th Street and North Independence Avenue.

The extent of injuries and the exact cause of the crash have not been reported.

Delays seen towards MacArthur Blvd. after I-40 vehicle accident in OKC 

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Traffic delays were seen towards MacArthur Boulevard following a vehicle accident on I-40 on Wednesday. 

The collision occurred after 9 a.m. along exit 145 at Meridian Avenue, according to Total Traffic Network Oklahoma City. 

 

Authorities have not specified how the collision unfolded, whether anyone was injured, or if charges were filed.

Traffic congestion reported on Hefner Road following NW OKC crash 

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Traffic congestion was reported on Hefner Road following a Wednesday morning crash. 

Total Traffic Network’s OKC announced the collision at 8:15 a.m. saying it happened at the southbound Lake Hefner Parkway and Northwest 39th Expressway. 

Officials have not confirmed the exact cause of the collision or said if anyone was injured.
