OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma County deputies arrested two teenagers after a pursuit-turned-crash in Oklahoma City on Thursday.

KFOR said the events unfolded around 5 a.m. in Choctaw. One of the teenagers was driving at a high rate of 100 miles per hour. Oklahoma County deputies attempted to pull over their vehicle. However, the driver did not listen and continued driving erratically, prompting a pursuit.

Soon after, the driver crashed their vehicle into the Oklahoma River off I-40 and Pennsylvania Avenue. Prior to the vehicle going into the water, the teens, ages 16 and 18, had reportedly jumped out of their vehicle.

The two teenagers were arrested and transported to a hospital for treatment. The 18-year-old sustained leg and back injuries. Officials did not specify what injuries the 16-year-old sustained.

Both suspects appear to be in serious condition.

Deputies later confirmed that the teenagers fled from law enforcement because they had warrants out for their arrests.
