Officials release more info on semi-truck crash near Vinita
VINITA, OK – According to News on 6, officials have provided additional details concerning the semi-truck collision on the Will Rogers Turnpike eastbound near US 60 on Thursday.
A man was driving a passenger car when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a semi-truck. The collision caused the semi-truck to go off the overpass and explode. A portion of the truck was dangling on top of US 60.
Authorities first reported the incident as a fatal accident, but now say the semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries.
Following the accident, Hernandez-Guzman fled the scene on foot. Authorities located him three hours later in a creek bed and arrested him.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol took over the investigation.
Driver hits, kills moped rider on East 20 Road near Quapaw
OTTAWA COUNTY, OK – A driver fatally collided with a man riding a moped at East 20 Road and US-69 Alternate on Thursday, according to FOX 23.
A 30-year-old woman was driving when she ran a stop sign and hit a moped operated by a 33-year-old man.
First responders pronounced the moped rider dead at the scene. The driver was hospitalized with injuries to her arm and body.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
Semi-truck driver collides with two vehicles on US 69 in Pryor
PRYOR, OK – According to FOX 23, two people were hurt when a semi-truck driver hit a car and a pickup truck on US 69 in Pryor Thursday morning.
A semi-truck driver was heading south on US 69 when he failed to stop at a stoplight and hit the two vehicles around 7:20 a.m.
First responders transported the car and truck driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The semi-truck driver was not hurt.
The Pryor Police Department is investigating the incident.
Crash near Uptown Oklahoma City injures at least 1 person
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was hurt in a collision at Northwest 28th Street and North Classen Boulevard northbound Friday afternoon, according to the Response and Accident Tracker.
The incident was reported to authorities around 12:09 p.m.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
Paramedics respond to injury accident near Will Rogers International Airport
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – According to the Response and Accident Tracker, first responders were called to an accident with injury at Interstate 44 northbound and Southwest 104th Street Friday afternoon.
Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 12:34 p.m.
Officials have not provided more details.
Auto accident disrupts traffic in Norman
NORMAN, OK – A crash blocked traffic at South Flood Avenue northbound and West Rock Creek Road Friday morning, according to TTN Oklahoma City.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 9:15 a.m.
It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the incident.
