TULSA, OK – Multiple people are recovering from injuries sustained in a crash that occurred at the Tulsa Expo Center around 9 p.m. on Saturday.

News9 said the collision happened at the demolition derby at the Darryl Starbird Rod and Custom Car Show. Video footage sent to the source revealed a demonstrator driving a demolition car. The driver rounded a corner and crashed into a barrier and several spectators.

On-site medical personnel treated the injured individuals for injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Officials did not specify how many people were hurt, but said they are expected to make a quick recovery.

Driver fails to negotiate curve, crashes into tree in Sulphur

SULPHUR, OK – A 25-year-old woman was injured after failing to negotiate a left curve and crashing her car into a tree in Sulphur on Sunday, OKCFox reports.

The single-vehicle collision happened on U.S. 177 North. Oklahoma Highway Patrol did not specify the severity of injuries sustained by the female driver.

No other occupants were reported to be involved. OHP did not specify whether impairment or speed played a role in the single-vehicle collision.

One life claimed in single-vehicle collision at NW OKC pond

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was killed in a single-vehicle collision that occurred at a Northwest Oklahoma City pond on Sunday, News9 said.

The incident unfolded after 12:30 a.m., when a driver crashed their car into a pond off Heritage Oaks Drive. The sedan became fully submerged.

Three people were able to escape that submerged vehicle, while one person remained trapped inside.

Oklahoma City police arrived at the scene first and attempted to rescue the trapped occupant. Police were unable to complete the rescue due to the depth of the water and freezing temperatures.

The OKC Fire Department diving team, which arrived at the scene a short time after, completed the rescue. EMS crews rushed the rescued person to a hospital, where they later died from their injuries.

Police said the four individuals were over 18. At this time, they have not publicly identified the decedent nor disclosed the physical conditions of the surviving vehicle occupants.

Police were not injured during the attempted rescue and are actively working to determine what caused the driver to drift off the road and crash into the pond.

OKC PD investigates pickup truck crash in Wildewood

NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma City Police Department is investigating a pickup truck crash that happened in the Wildewood area on Monday.

The pickup truck crash occurred before 5 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast 50th Street and Lincoln Boulevard, KOCO reports.

The impact of the collision left the truck with some front-end damage, while the driver/occupants inside were uninjured.

OKC PD reported no other vehicles involved in the collision and has not specified the cause of the crash.

SW OKC home damaged after pickup truck rollover collision 

SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A Southwest Oklahoma City home was damaged as a result of a pickup truck rollover collision on Monday morning. 

KFOR said the crash occurred off the intersection of Southwest 54th Street and May Avenue. Images showed an overturned green-colored pickup truck and a home with front-end damage, which included several missing bricks. 

Oklahoma City Police did not confirm any injuries nor disclose the exact cause of the crash. 

OK DOT summoned to vehicle accident near Will Rogers Int. Airport

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation was summoned to the scene of a vehicle accident outside the Will Rogers International Airport on Monday.

Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City division reported the crash at 5:25 a.m., saying it took place at the intersection of Southwest 89th Street and Interstate 44.

Authorities have not specified how the collision unfolded, listed the number of people and vehicles involved, or said whether anyone had to go to the hospital.
