OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – According to KFOR, a motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 44 near North Martin Luther King Boulevard Tuesday night.

A 29-year-old woman was riding a motorcycle at high speeds when she failed to negotiate a curve, strayed off the road, and slammed into a cable barrier around 10:30 p.m. The woman was ejected from the motorcycle in the crash.

First responders transported the woman to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities believe speed and inexperience caused the wreck.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

 

Police investigate motorcycle crash on North Garnett Road in Owasso

OWASSO, OK – The Owasso Police Department is investigating a motorcycle collision that occurred near North Garnett Road and East 100th Street North on Saturday, according to FOX 23.

The motorcyclist was heading south on North Garnett Road when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the center median around 5 p.m. The collision caused the motorcycle to flip. He was ejected from the bike during the crash.

First responders transported the victim to an area hospital in critical condition.

Authorities believe speed may have played a role in the wreck.
