NEAR ANTLERS, OK – A 51-year-old motorcyclist lost his life after he was struck by a vehicle on State Highway 3, a few miles east of Antlers on Monday, KXII said.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol determined that the male driver of the vehicle had overcorrected, causing him to drift from the eastbound highway lane into the westbound lane and crash into a motorcycle.
OHP said the driver, an Antlers local, tried to move over before overcorrecting, but was unable to do so.
The impact of the vehicle-motorcycle collision led to the motorcyclist’s death.
OHP has not said if speeding or impairment was a factor in the vehicle-motorcycle collision, and did not say if they cited the driver or if he would face charges.

OKC fire crews conduct vehicle rescue after truck crashes into Lake Overholser
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City fire crews had to conduct a vehicle rescue after a red pickup truck crashed into Lake Overholser on Thursday, News9 reports.
Oklahoma City police and firefighters arrived at the scene to find a completely submerged pickup truck.
Rescue personnel were able to successfully remove the vehicle from the water, with photos showing that they were able to stabilize the pickup truck and pull it out of the water with heavy-duty towing equipment.
Officials said the driver was not injured, but still received medical attention at the scene.
OKC Police have not shared the contributing factors leading to the collision.
Piedmont PD responds to school bus crash at 164th St., Piedmont Rd.
PIEDMONT, OK – Piedmont Police responded to the scene of a school bus crash that occurred at the intersection of Northwest 164th Street and Piedmont Road before 7:30 a.m. Friday.
Police told KOCO that the students on board were uninjured, and a second school bus was called to transport them to school.
Police described the incident as minor, but have yet to confirm the cause of the school bus crash.
OK DOT blocks portion of I-44 North in Central OKC due to collision
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation had to close a portion of Interstate 44 North before Northwest 10th Street due to a Friday morning traffic collision.
Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City division reported the crash at 7:35 a.m., saying crews blocked the left shoulder. Traffic delays could be seen towards Exit 116 at Airport Road as officials worked to restore safe road conditions.
No injuries or citations were reported.
The cause of the collision has not been made immediately clear.

At least 1 injured in traffic accident in NW OKC
NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a traffic accident outside of the Resurrection Cemetery on Friday.
According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, the crash happened at 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Council Road and eastbound Northwest Expressway.
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety has not confirmed the number of people and vehicles involved or the severity of injuries sustained.
Officials are working to determine the cause of the crash.
