DURANT, OK – A 52-year-old man died and a 42-year-old woman was injured following a rollover collision that happened on U.S. 70 last Wednesday, Oct. 15.
According to KTEN, the driver, the 42-year-old woman, had lost control of her vehicle, which led her to leave the road and her car to overturn before crashing into a ditch.
The passenger, the 52-year-old man, and the woman were sent to a hospital.
First responders took the 52-year-old man from Hugo, Oklahoma, to a hospital in Plano, Texas, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Officials did not say if the woman was taken to the same hospital as her passenger, but said she was going to receive treatment for her injuries. As of this writing, her current physical condition remains unclear.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed that neither occupant wore a seatbelt.
Man, 50, loses life to motorcycle crash in Broken Arrow
BROKEN ARROW, OK – A 50-year-old man lost his life to a motorcycle crash that happened east of Northeastern State University Broken Arrow on Tuesday.
Broken Arrow police told KTUL that the collision occurred just before 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of East 101st Street South and South 225th East Avenue.
Medical helicopter personnel took the motorcyclist, the 50-year-old man, to a local hospital, where he later died. Authorities said the victim was a Luther resident.
Police are actively working to determine the events that led to the motorcycle collision.
Red light runner causes truck accident in Pryor that sends 2 to hospital
PRYOR, OK – A driver ran a red light, which led to a truck accident that sent two people to a hospital on Wednesday, KTUL reports.
The crash occurred around 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 69 and Southeast 49th Street. It was there that a driver operating a truck with an attached car hauler failed to stop and rear-ended a semi-truck that was stopped at the intersection.
A portion of the semi truck caught on fire. The car hauler attached to the truck appeared to have completely caught on fire.
Officers helped the passenger inside the truck with the hauler escape the burning truck, while the driver was able to escape themself by simply opening their driver’s door.
Medical crews airlifted the truck passenger to a hospital, while the truck driver was transported by ground to a hospital. Officials said the two occupants were sent to the emergency rooms in Tulsa.
Pryor Creek police have launched an investigation.
Pedestrian, 62, fatally struck by vehicle in NE OKC
NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 62-year-old pedestrian lost their life after getting struck by a vehicle in the area of I-44 and Kelley Avenue on Tuesday.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol pronounced the victim dead at the scene and said they had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, according to OKCFox.
OHP said the vehicle make and the driver are unknown. As of this writing, officials have not classified this incident as a hit-and-run and have not announced any charges.
The victim was an OKC resident, and their family has been notified of their passing.
Driver arrested, occupants hospitalized after Thackerville pursuit-turned-crash
THACKERVILLE, OK – A male driver was arrested, and some people were sent to a hospital after a pursuit-turned-crash in Thackerville on Monday.
KTEN said the events unraveled when Thackerville police attempted to pull over a driver concerning a headlight issue. The driver of that vehicle did not stop, kept driving, and went up an I-35 off-ramp.
The driver proceeded to drive in the wrong direction and crashed into two vehicles.
Thackerville police arrested the driver, and EMS crews took some people from the vehicles to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not specify how many people were injured or the extent of their injuries.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident north of Wiley Post Airport-PWA on Wednesday.
OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker announced the crash at 3:34 p.m., saying it took place at the intersection of North Council Road and eastbound Northwest Expressway.
The extent of injuries and the exact cause of the crash have not been reported.
