SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 67-year-old man lost his life to a rear-end collision that happened on I-44 north of SW 15th Street around 7 p.m. on Friday, KOCO reports.

Preliminary details show that one driver rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 67-year-old man. The 67-year-old man’s vehicle was pushed forward and hit the back of a trailer. The 67-year-old man died from his injuries a short time later.

No other occupants involved were injured.

Oklahoma City police started an investigation.

Update: According to new information from News9, the trailer that was struck then crashed into another vehicle in front of them. A fifth vehicle later rear-ended the first vehicle.

Teen driver dies following rollover crash in Pittsburg Co. 

PITTSBURG COUNTY, OK – A teen driver died following a rollover crash that occurred on eastbound U.S. Highway 270 on Saturday. 

Oklahoma Highway Patrol told KTUL that the teen driver, a 17-year-old boy, was traveling at a high rate of speed, which is what caused him to lose control of his vehicle. 

The vehicle went off the road, overturned, and crashed. The young driver did not wear a seatbelt and died from his injuries. 

OHP investigates fatal two-vehicle crash near Boise City

NEAR BOISE CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the details behind a fatal two-vehicle crash that killed an 18-year-old man and injured several others on Sunday.

According to ABC7Amarillo, the collision occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 56 and NS 23 Road. A 44-year-old male driver was pursuing a left-hand turn when they was rear-ended by another vehicle.

The force of the collision led one of the 44-year-old man’s passengers, an 18-year-old man from Olathe, Kansas, to die from his injuries. The 44-year-old man, Olathe, the driver who caused the rear-end crash, and the passenger of the driver who rear-ended the car were all injured.

The at-fault driver was identified as a 34-year-old man from Boise City, Oklahoma.

Alleged DUI driver causes fatal head-on wreck near Durant 

NEAR DURANT, OK – An alleged DUI driver was responsible for causing a fatal head-on wreck that happened near Durant on Sunday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. 

OHP told KXII that the events unfolded when the alleged DUI driver was traveling on U.S. 70, veered out of his lane, and crashed head-on into another vehicle. 

The passenger inside the struck vehicle succumbed to his injuries at the scene. OHP identified him as a 25-year-old man from Levi Milam of Bennington. 

EMS crews were dispatched to the scene and transported three other occupants from the struck vehicle to a hospital in Texas for unspecified injuries. 

The suspected impaired driver was identified as a 39-year-old man. He appeared to be uninjured, and OHP arrested him for DUI causing great bodily injury, aggravated DUI, and 2nd degree murder. He was booked into custody at the Bryan County Jail. 

Traffic delays reported on I-44 West after 2 separate collisions

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Traffic delays could be seen on I-44 West due to two separate collisions that occurred on Thursday.

According to KFOR, the first crash happened along Lake Hefner Parkway, and the second collision occurred east of I-44.

Details behind the crashes remain scarce. However, officials did note that the impact of the second accident caused at least one vehicle to overturn.

Authorities did not say if anyone was injured or if anyone could face citations.

At least 1 injured in traffic crash in Uptown OKC

UPTOWN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a traffic crash that took place in Uptown Oklahoma City on Monday.

The collision occurred after 11 a.m. on the 3812th block of North Santa Fe Avenue, OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker reports.

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety has not specified how the collision unfolded, listed the extent of injuries sustained, or said whether anyone would face citations.
