HUGHES COUNTY, OK – A 43-year-old man from Allen died as a result of a single-vehicle collision involving a cow on Friday, KFOR reports.
The incident unfolded after 12 a.m. on State Highway 48. The man was driving north on the highway and came across a cow on the road. He steered his wheel away, trying to avoid hitting the cow.
However, a crash proved inevitable as he ended up plowing into a cow and then a tree off the road.
The male driver died from his injuries at the scene.
The motorist was the sole occupant of his vehicle.
Traffic delays reported on I-40 in OKC due to hit-and-run crash
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Traffic delays lingered on Interstate 40 near Portland Avenue on Friday due to a hit-and-run crash.
According to KOCO, a black truck crashed into a gray sedan before fleeing the scene. The gray sedan sustained significant damage and was seen on the left shoulder.
At the time of the reporting, a tow truck was in the process of removing the gray sedan from the scene.
So while law enforcement closed no lanes, delays ensued as officials worked to restore safe road conditions.
Law enforcement reported no injuries and did not release a description of the suspect.
1 hospitalized following van-truck crash on U.S. 70 in Bryan Co.
BRYAN COUNTY, OK – One person had to go to the hospital as a result of a crash between a van and a truck on U.S. 70 near the Roosevelt Memorial Bridge on Thursday.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol told KTEN that a truck driver lost control of their vehicle after getting a flat tire. The driver swerved from their westbound lane into an eastbound lane and was struck by a van.
The force of the collision pinned the van passenger inside. Fire crews extricated the person, and EMS crews took them to Texoma Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Officials say the van passenger is in stable condition.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident west of Lake Hefner on Friday.
The crash happened before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Hefner Road and North Rockwell Avenue, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety has not confirmed the number of people and vehicles involved, the extent of injuries, or reported any citations.

2 hospitalized after crash near Cal Albert Middle School in Midwest City
MIDWEST CITY, OK – Two people were transported to the hospital after a crash that occurred west of Cal Albert Middle School on Thursday, KOCO reports.
The collision happened in the area of Southeast 29th Street and Douglas Avenue.
First responders did not specify the severity of injuries that were sustained or confirm any charges or citations for those involved.
Law enforcement is working to determine the cause of the collision.
