Man, 26, dies following crash off S Broadway in Edmond

EDMOND, OK – Authorities responded to a single-vehicle collision early Friday in south Edmond that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man, according to KOCO.

The fatal incident took place on a span of South Broadway near 33rd Street, at around 2:30 a.m.

Preliminary details indicate the man was driving a pickup truck northbound when, for reasons still being investigated, the vehicle ran off the roadway. Shortly after, it collided with a light pole and a tree.

First responders pronounced the male driver deceased at the scene. Investigators noted that he was the vehicle’s sole occupant, and no other vehicles appear to have been involved.
