OILTON, OK – A 26-year-old man from Stroud was airlifted to the hospital after his truck crashed and fell off a cliff in Oilton on Friday.

The rollover collision occurred around midnight west of Highway 99 and half a mile south of Crow Road, according to KTUL. After the truck rolled over and fell off the cliff, it then went into the Cimarron River.

It took fire and rescue crews several hours to locate the man. Eventually, they found him and extricated him from his vehicle. They loaded him onto a UTV and then into an ambulance.

Later, helicopter personnel transported the 26-year-old man to a hospital.

Once the truck crashed, the driver, a 26-year-old man, became entrapped or pinned inside.

Creek County Sheriff, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Creek County EMS, Drumright fire crews, police, and Oilton fire and police personnel all responded to the scene.

Stop sign runner causes fatal collision in Garvin Co.

GARVIN COUNTY, OK – A driver ran a stop sign, which led to a fatal collision on Friday morning, according to KTEN.

One driver ran a stop sign on Meridian Road, then tried to turn left before being struck by a westbound car.

The stop sign runner died from their injuries, while the car driver was uninjured.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation and has not disclosed the victim’s age, gender, or place of residence.

No citations were reported.

ATV crash in Sand Springs claims life of Kansas City teen

SAND SPRINGS, OK – A Kansas City teen died as a result of an ATV crash that took place in Sand Springs on Saturday, KTUL reports.

The Kansas City teen was operating an ATV and traveling on the 27583rd block of West 7th Street when they lost control of the ATV and crashed into a tree.

The teenager, aged 14, died from their injuries at the scene. Oklahoma Highway Patrol did not say if other vehicles were involved.

Injuries sustained in traffic crash on I-40 connecting to MLK Ave.

SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person sustained injuries in a traffic crash that happened on I-40 connecting to MLK Ave. on Friday.

The collision happened before 7 a.m., Total Traffic Network’s OKC team said.

Authorities are working to determine the events that led to the crash and have not specified the extent of injuries or reported any citations.

OK Public Safety dispatched to injury collision in Uptown OKC 

UPTOWN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of an injury collision in Uptown Oklahoma City on Monday.

OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker said the collision occurred before 6:45 a.m. on the southbound lanes of Broadway Extension.

Officials have not specified how the crash unfolded or confirmed the extent of injuries sustained.

Officials shut down I-244 West in Tulsa due to rollover crash with injuries 

TULSA, OK – Officials had to shut down I-244 West along Memorial Ave. in Tulsa due to a Sunday afternoon rollover crash with injuries, Newson6 said. 

Oklahoma Highway Patrol and officials initiated the closures at 3:22 p.m. and reopened the area later that afternoon. 

During the closures, drivers were redirected onto OK-11 West. 

One tow truck was at the scene, loading a significantly damaged white SUV. 

The exact cause of the crash and the extent of injuries have not been reported.
