LOGAN COUNTY, OK – Approximately 7,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto I-35 South following a tanker truck rollover crash in Logan County on Friday.
The collision occurred near mile marker 170 between Guthrie and Mulhall, according to News9.
Logan County, Payne County, Mulhall, and Guthrie Hazmat crews and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were all dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they redirected southbound traffic toward Mulhall Road. From there, drivers could then take U.S. Highway 77 to get back to Guthrie.
Officials told commuters to anticipate delays and were encouraged to avoid the area during the scene clean-up process.
OHP has not confirmed the exact cause of the crash or whether anyone was injured.
Man, 49, killed in two-vehicle collision in Lexington
LEXINGTON, OK – A 49-year-old man from Norman was killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened on the outskirts of Lexington around 9:15 p.m. Friday, KOCO said.
Preliminary details show that the 49-year-old man was driving when he drifted out of his lane, crossed over into another lane, and crashed into another vehicle.
The 49-year-old man died from his injuries at the scene, and the other driver was left with unspecified injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
Alleged drunk driver crashes into Del-Rancho Mustang
MUSTANG, OK – An alleged drunk driver was responsible for crashing into Del-Rancho Mustang on Saturday, KOCO reports.
The single-vehicle wreck happened at 10:30 p.m., about an hour after restaurant employees locked up their business for the day. So no restaurant employees or customers were injured.
The driver themself was left with unspecified injuries and taken to a hospital for treatment.
The building itself was significantly damaged, with glass and debris scattered around.
The restaurant is now boarded up. At this time, the restaurant owner has not provided a time estimate regarding when the place will reopen, but said she is committed to providing Thanksgiving meals for the community.
Police have not said if they arrested the driver, nor have they announced any pending charges.
1 injured in big rig-car collision on Turner Turnpike near Bristow
NEAR BRISTOW, OK – One person was injured in a collision between a big rig and a car that happened on the Turner Turnpike near Bristow on Saturday.
News9 said the impact of the crash caused the truck to spill its cargo onto the highway, prompting crews to shut down the eastbound lanes for about five hours. Delays lasted for approximately two hours as crews worked to clean up the scene.
The person who was injured was taken to a hospital by ambulance. It appears Life Flight was dispatched to the scene, but was later dismissed.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not confirmed the exact cause of the crash.
1 killed, 2 injured in 3-vehicle accident in Shawnee
SHAWNEE, OK – One person lost his life and two other people were injured in a three-vehicle accident that occurred on Friday, OKCFOX said.
A driver of a car had failed to yield while driving on U.S. 177 north while turning left onto Fawn Trail and collided with a second vehicle. A third vehicle then struck the left-turning vehicle.
The passenger inside the left-turning vehicle died from his injuries. He was identified as a 24-year-old man, local to Shawnee.
Two others were left with unspecified injuries.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a collision that took place in the Aurora neighborhood Monday morning.
Total Traffic Network’s OKC division first announced the crash at 6:40 p.m. and said it occurred at the intersection of Southwest 15th Street and South May Avenue.
