OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An EMBARK bus driver was charged this week in connection with a deadly collision that claimed the life of a man.

According to News9, the bus driver was charged with Second-Degree Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of a Fatality Collision.

The collision happened last month in September. The events unraveled when the bus driver stopped in the area of West Hefner Road and North Western Avenue to pick up some bus passengers.

The bus driver denied one man transportation service because he believed he was intoxicated. The man who wanted to get on the bus was standing on the curb. He still had his hands on the bus when the bus driver drove off.

The force of the collision caused the man to fall, and he was then struck by the bus. He died from his injuries at the scene.

Police say that the bus driver told his supervisor that the man fell on his own accord and failed to mention that the man sustained serious injuries.
