Driver hits child riding bike near Chamberlain Park

TULSA, OK – According to News on 6, a driver struck a 10-year-old boy riding a bicycle near East 51st Place North and North Hartford Avenue Monday afternoon.

The driver hit the victim as he was crossing the street

Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance.

First responders transported the child to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

Semi-truck driver crashes into concrete barrier on Will Rogers Turnpike

VINTA, OK – A semi-truck driver hauling 4o,000 pounds of strawberries crashed on the Will Rogers Turnpike westbound near mile marker 289 Monday, according to KFOR.

The driver fell asleep and plowed through a concrete barrier and rolled over into the westbound lanes.

It is unclear if the driver was hurt.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
