NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A child was hospitalized after a Northwest Oklahoma City crash involving a teenage driver on Thursday, KOCO reports.

The child was struck by a vehicle driven by a teenager in the 6700th block of West Wilshire Boulevard near Lyrewood Lane. The teenager reportedly fled the scene, but reportedly came back moments later.

The child sustained minor injuries as a result of the vehicle-pedestrian crash and was taken to a hospital and has since been released.

Oklahoma City Police said they have not arrested the teenager for their involvement in the vehicle-pedestrian crash.

Failure to yield ends in fatal car-train collision in Minco

MINCO, OK – Failing to yield was a contributing factor behind a fatal car-train collision that killed two people in Minco on Friday, KOCO said.

The crash happened before 1 p.m. on County Road 1200. Oklahoma Highway Patrol determined that the driver of a car did not yield to the train at a railroad crossing and was struck by a Union Pacific train.

The car driver and passenger wore seatbelts, but unfortunately died from their injuries. One of them was identified as a 65-year-old adult from Oklahoma City.

OHP said the train was hauling 30 cars at the time of the collision.

Driver injured in single-vehicle crash in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A driver sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Tulsa on Sunday, KTUL reports.

The incident happened on U.S. 75 South, near 2100 N. Highway 75. Preliminary details from Tulsa Police suggest the driver of a gray sedan crashed into a guardrail and spun multiple times before coming to rest on the inside lane.

The car sustained severe damage to the front and rear ends. An ambulance was called to the scene and blocked at least one lane to render aid to the involved occupants. During the closures, drivers were faced with heavy delays.

Police did not say if the driver was cited or will face charges.

Motorcyclist sent to hospital following rear-end collision in Sapulpa

SAPULPA, OK – A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital following a rear-end collision in Sapulpa on Sunday, News on 6 said.

The incident unfolded at 3 p.m. when the motorcyclist rear-ended a vehicle pursuing a turn on South 33rd West Avenue near West 83rd and West 85th.

The motorcyclist fell off their bike and suffered serious injuries. EMS performed CPR on the biker before taking them to a hospital.

Police did not say if they cited the biker.

Man, woman in their 80s killed after car overturns, submerges in water near Wilburton

NEAR WILBURTON, OK – A man and woman in their 80s were killed after their car overturned and submerged into water near Talihina on Saturday, Fox23 reports.

The rollover crash happened before 4:45 p.m. on Southwest 1100th Avenue. Preliminary details show that the 81-year-old male driver had drifted off the road, which led his car to overturn before crashing into water.

The 81-year-old man, from Kiowa, and his 82-year-old female passenger both died from their injuries.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol did not say if the couple was able to escape their vehicle prior to the arrival of fire and rescue teams.

The details behind the rollover crash are under investigation.

Suspect sought in connection with deadly pedestrian collision in Colbert

COLBERT, OK – Colbert Police are actively searching for a suspect in connection with a deadly pedestrian collision that happened on Monday, March 2.

KTEN told Colbert Police that they believe the male suspect was driving an 18-wheeler at exit 2 when he crashed into a pedestrian.

The suspect fled the scene of the collision, and the pedestrian died from their injuries at the scene.

Authorities believe the suspect is a white man with mushroom tattoos on his left rib cage and left hand.
