MIDWEST CITY, OK – A child riding a bicycle had to go to the hospital after being hit by a car in Midwest City on Thursday, KOCO reports.
The bicycle-vehicle collision occurred in the area of Southeast 23rd Street and Post Road. The cyclist, identified as a middle school student, sustained minor injuries.
EMS transported the child to Oklahoma Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Midwest City police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
No citations have been reported for the driver at this time.
OHP, OKC fire crews block portion of I-35 due to pickup truck crash
EAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Oklahoma City fire crews blocked a portion of Interstate 35 South on Thursday due to a pickup truck crash.
The pickup truck crash occurred near Northeast 10th Street. Officials said they blocked one lane to allow crews to clean up debris from the accident, which resulted in temporary delays, KOCO reports.
EMS crews also responded to the scene, but have not confirmed any injuries at this time.
OHP is working to determine the cause of the collision.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of a traffic collision along Quail Creek Golf Club on Thursday.
The crash occurred after 11:30 a.m. on the 13640 block of North May Avenue, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker. Officials have not specified the cause of the collision and have reported no injuries at this time.

Alleged DUI causes wrong-way crash that sends 2 to hospital in OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An alleged DUI driver was responsible for causing a wrong-way crash that sent two people to the hospital on Wednesday.
KOCO said the incident unfolded around 11:45 p.m. when a driver went south on northbound I-35 and crashed head-on into another car.
Oklahoma City police arrested the wrong-way driver who exhibited signs of impairment and reportedly also assaulted Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers.
The wrong-way driver and the other motorist he struck were hospitalized for serious injuries.
Officials issued closures and have since lifted all lane closures.
