DEL CITY, OK – One person was injured as a result of a single-vehicle collision that happened on westbound I-40 near Southeast 15th Street around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, News9 said.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the incident unfolded when a driver crashed their vehicle into an off-ramp barrier on the interstate.

Del City fire crews and police also responded to the scene and said no other injuries were reported.

Officials did not say if slick road conditions played a role in the crash or if anyone was cited.

Driver cited, faces hefty fine following rear-end crash with snow plow

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A driver was cited and faces over a $1,200 fine following a rear-end crash with a snow plow on Wednesday, News9 reports.

Based on what our team knows so far, it seems that the driver failed to yield and crashed their white SUV into the back of a slow plow on a snowy and icy interstate.

The white SUV sustained significant damage, and the driver suffered minor injuries.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol specifically cited the driver for Failing to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle with Lights Activated. Officials did not disclose the exact crash location.

OHP says they responded to 342 collisions, 52 of them being injury crashes between noon on Friday and 6 p.m. on Jan. 27. Out of the hundreds of crashes, five of them involved Oklahoma Department of Transportation snow plows being struck by other drivers.

Authorities urge motorists to keep at least five feet away from snow plows while on the road.

OKC PD puts 2 in custody after pursuit-turned-crash in OKC 

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City police put two people into custody after a pursuit-turned-crash near I-40 on Wednesday, KOCO said. 

The incident unfolded around 4:30 a.m. when two of the suspects stole a vehicle and were seen driving in the area of Northwest 16th Street and Ann Arbor Avenue. Oklahoma City police tried to pull them over, but they kept driving, which prompted a pursuit. 

The suspects tried to pass a semi-trailer, but ended up drifting off I-40 and crashing off the road. 

The suspects attempted to flee the scene on foot, but were quickly apprehended by police. 

Police took the two suspects into custody, and the stolen vehicle was returned to its rightful owner. 

No injuries were reported.

OK DOT called to collision in OKC’s Midwest district

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation was summoned to the scene of a collision that took place in the Midwest district on Wednesday.

Total Traffic Network’s division first reported the crash at 12:10 p.m., saying it happened
on Northwest 4th Street east of North Shartel Avenue.

Authorities have not specified how the collision unfolded, listed the number of people and vehicles involved, or said whether anyone was injured.

Fire crews responded to vehicle fire along INTEGRIS Health

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Fire crews responded to the scene of a vehicle fire along INTERGRIS HEALTH on Wednesday.

Total Traffic Network’s OKC division reported the incident at 7:25 a.m. and said it happened in the area of Independence Avenue south of Northwest 56th Street.

Firefighters did not specify the cause of the fire or say whether anyone was injured.

At least 1 injured in traffic crash near Will Rogers Int. Airport

MUSTANG, OK – At least one person was injured in a traffic crash that occurred west of the Will Rogers International Airport on Wednesday.
