1 dead in rollover crash on Interstate 40 near Weatherford

WEATHERFORD, OK – According to KOKH, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal rollover crash on Interstate 40 near Weatherford that occurred early Monday morning.

Juan Castaneda-Munoz, 44, was driving a 1999 GMC Suburban on Interstate 40 three miles west of Weatherford when he strayed off the road, crashed into a ditch, and rolled over twice.

Castaneda-Munoz was thrown 20 feet from the Suburban during the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

First responders pronounced Castaneda-Munoz dead at the scene.

 

1 dead in semi-truck crash on Interstate 35 near Goldsby

GOLDSBY, OK – Authorities are investigating a fatal semi-truck collision on Interstate 35 near Goldsby that occurred Friday, according to KOKH.

A 56-year-old male driver had a tire blowout, causing him to pull over.

The sedan was struck by a Mack semi-truck operated by a 41-year-old man around 3:48 a.m.

First responders pronounced the sedan driver dead at the scene. A 12-year-old boy and an 8-year-old boy died at the hospital.

A 35-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy from the sedan survived the collision. The woman suffered a broken back and multiple fractures. The 13-year-old had minor injuries.

The semi-truck driver was treated and released from the hospital.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the deadly semi-truck crash.

 

Train fatally collides with pickup truck in Oktaha

OKTAHA, OK – According to KOCO, a train fatally collided with a pickup truck in Oktaha Sunday morning.

A 56-year-old man was driving a pickup truck when he failed to yield to a Union Pacific Railroad train at W 103rd Street South at Oktaha Road.

The train hit the pickup truck and pushed it out 1,000 feet before coming to a rest around 8:20 a.m. The driver died in the collision.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

 

Collision injures at least 1 person in north Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was hurt in a car accident in north Oklahoma City Monday, according to the Response and Accident Tracker.

The collision occurred at North Western Avenue northbound and West John Kilpatrick Service Road eastbound around 11:49 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

 

Emergency crews respond to crash in Pottawatomie County

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, OK – According to TTN Oklahoma City, first responders were called to a car accident in Pottawatomie County.

Emergency crews were called to Interstate 40 eastbound near US 177 around 9 a.m.

Officials have not provided more details.

 

Auto accident disrupts traffic in northwest Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A car accident in northwest Oklahoma City blocked traffic in the area, according to TTN Oklahoma City.

Emergency crews were called to Northwest 63rd Street and North May Avenue around 8:30 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
