NORMAN, OK – One person died, and another was left in critical condition as a result of a collision that happened north of the Hope Community Church on Wednesday.

The crash occurred before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of 84th Avenue Southeast and State Highway 9, according to KOCO. Multiple people were involved in the collision, and two of them sustained critical injuries.

One of the seriously injured individuals would go on to succumb to their injuries. Norman police did not disclose the identity of the decedent.

Norman Police have not disclosed the cause of the crash or confirmed the number of people and vehicles involved.

First responders dispatched to 9-vehicle crash on I-40 in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – First responders were dispatched to the scene of a 9-vehicle crash on I-40 in Oklahoma City on Thursday, KOCO said.

The collision occurred on the eastbound lanes of the interstate near Portland Avenue. Several vehicles could be seen on the shoulder, and one significantly damaged vehicle was blocking at least one lane.

Several tow trucks pulled up to the scene and removed all the vehicles.

Crews have since cleared the scene.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident that happened south of Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers Park on Thursday.

Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City division first reported the crash at 7:45 a.m., saying it took place at the intersection of Northwest 23rd Street and I-44.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has not reported any lane closures, but OK DOT workers likely advised drivers to proceed with caution as they worked to clear the scene.

First responders have not shared the number of people and vehicles involved or the extent of injuries.

Authorities are working to determine the cause of the crash.

Male pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in Altus

ALTUS, OK – A male pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle along the Altus/Quartz Mountain Regional Airport (KAXS) on Wednesday.

The auto-pedestrian collision occurred before 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of northbound U.S. Highway 283 and East County Road 160, according to KSWO.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed the male pedestrian was in an outside lane of traffic when he was hit by the male. The pedestrian, a 23-year-old adult and an Altus local, died from his injuries at the scene.

OHP has not confirmed the contributing factors behind the crash.

OK-DOT blocks portion of eastbound I-40 in SW OKC due to crash

SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation blocked a portion of the eastbound I-40 due to a Thursday morning crash.

Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City first announced the collision at 7 a.m., saying it took place near Portland Avenue. Traffic delays extended towards exit 142 at Council Road as crews worked to clear the area.

First responders did not share the number of people and vehicles involved, or say if anyone was injured.

Officials are working to determine how the collision unfolded.

OK DPS summoned to collision in Quail Creek 

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation was dispatched to the scene of a collision that happened in the Quail Creek area on Thursday.

The crash occurred after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest 122nd Street and North May Avenue, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.

No injuries were reported.
