YUKON, OK – A 26-year-old man who was involved in a fatal wrong-way crash that killed four people in Yukon last week has since been arrested, according to OKCFOX.
This comes as an update in connection with the story we first covered on Friday, May 22. On that day, the 26-year-old man was reportedly driving west on eastbound Interstate 40, and had crashed head-on into a westbound vehicle. One of the vehicles then caught on fire.
The four people in the westbound vehicle died from their injuries a short time later. The driver of the westbound vehicle was identified as a 20-year-old woman, and her three passengers were an 18-year-old woman, a 19-year-old man, and a man aged 18 or 19. Those passengers were identified as El Reno alums.
The alleged wrong-way driver was injured and taken to the hospital. He was later released and arrested. According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, he is being charged with four counts of second-degree murder, two counts of DUI causing great bodily injury, possessing a firearm with an altered ID during the commission of a felony, carrying firearms while under the influence, and driving the wrong way on a one-way road.
35-year-old woman killed in head-on collision on Memorial Day in Broken Bow
BROKEN BOW, OK – A 35-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision on Memorial Day, OKCFOX reports.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. in the area of Highway 259 and Carson Creek Road. The 35-year-old woman was driving north on Highway 259 when she drifted out of her lane and went into a ditch line before coming back onto the highway. She crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a southbound vehicle.
The 35-year-old woman, from Broken Arrow, died from her injuries a short time later. No injuries were reported for the other driver.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol is working to determine why the Broken Arrow woman lost control of her vehicle.
Camelot Estates home in OKC damaged in single-car crash
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A home, located in Oklahoma City’s Camelot Estates neighborhood, was damaged in a single-car crash on Sunday.
The driver of a car had reportedly crashed into a fence before plowing into the home located off Northwest 120th Street, located between May and Greystone Avenue, according to Koco5.
Paramedics responded to the scene after 5:30 p.m., but did not say how many people were injured, and Oklahoma City Police did not confirm if anyone was inside the home at the time of the collision.
Police did not specify the cause of the crash.

Man, 51, hospitalized following two-truck collision in SE OKC
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 51-year-old man was hospitalized following a two-truck collision in Southeast Oklahoma City on Tuesday, News9 reports.
The crash, which was between a garbage truck and a tractor-trailer, occurred on the South Bryant Avenue overpass. Oklahoma City Fire crews responded to the scene after 9 a.m. and arrived to find a male driver pinned inside his garage truck.
Firefighters extricated the male driver, and ambulance personnel transported him to a hospital.
First responders did not disclose the severity of the man’s injuries, but listed his physical condition as serious.
Officials are working to determine the specifics of what led to the two-truck collision and have not announced any charges at this time.
At least 1 injured in traffic crash on South Bryant Ave. overpass in OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a traffic crash that happened on the South Bryant Avenue bridge above I-240 on Tuesday, the OKC Response & Accident Tracker reveals.
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the 7500th block of South Bryant, which is west of Oklahoma Heart Hospital South.
DPS pulled up to the scene before 8:45 a.m. It’s unclear whether transportation crews closed at least one lane, but they likely advised commuters to slow down and proceed with caution as they worked to clear the scene.
DPS investigates injury vehicle accident in OKC’s Suggs Park
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is investigating the details behind a Tuesday afternoon vehicle accident reported in the Suggs Park area.
DPS were summoned to the intersection of North Pennsylvania Avenue and Mattern Drive and arrived before 12:15 p.m., the OKC Response & Accident Tracker reveals.
