Hey everybody, my name is Anthony Alfonso. I'm an attorney here at Cain Law. One of the big questions that everybody asks whenever they get involved in an accident in their vehicle is they want to know if they're entitled to a rental car. Under Oklahoma law, the at-fault party is not required to give you a rental car, but there are some exceptions for that. Some of the insurance carriers will provide a rental car if their insured is at fault.

Some of the insurance companies though have kind of taken another route as far as As far as rental cars go, they may have you have to pay out of pocket, and then they'll reimburse you for that. Extreme stance that some of the insurance companies take is that they will not provide a rental car at all, and then you must make a claim for loss of use. So those are the days that you were not in some type of vehicle due to the negligence of the other party. Bottom line, whether or not they provide you a rental car, whether or not you're getting a reimbursement for rental expenses that you paid out of pocket, or for making a claim for loss of use, we're going to do everything that we can to make sure that you're compensated for that time that you didn't have the vehicle or getting you into a rental car.
