OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A pedestrian is dead after he was hit by a driver who fled the scene but then returned, KFOR reports.
Police say they received reports of a collision at Southwest 61st Street and May Avenue shortly after midnight this morning. They arrived to find a man dead in the roadway.
They say that the driver who hit the pedestrian fled the scene but then returned. They do not believe speed or intoxication were factors. We do not know whether the driver will face charges at this time.

Authorities on scene of collision in Parkview neighborhood of OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police are at the scene of a collision that happened in the 5000 block of SE 48th Street, according to the city’s Response & Accident Tracker.
The accident happened at around 8:30 a.m. this morning.
Police do not believe anyone suffered injuries.

2 dead in fiery, single-vehicle collision in north Tulsa
TULSA, OK – Two people were killed in a fiery, single-vehicle collision on the Gilcrease Expressway yesterday, NewsOn6 reports.
The crash happened near the exit to Lewis Avenue. We do not know what time it occurred or whether it happened in the eastbound or westbound lanes.
Police say that an SUV left the roadway and traveled a fair distance before striking a sign. The vehicle subsequently caught fire.
Firefighters knocked down the blaze and discovered two bodies inside. They have been identified only as an adult and a child at this time.
Investigations are ongoing.
Collision reported on far SW side of OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A non-injury collision happened at the intersection of SW 134th Street and Meridian Avenue earlier this morning.
According to the Accident & Response Tracker, police received reports of a collision shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The response is ongoing as of 90 minutes later.

Cowboy called to wrangle cattle after crash in Midwest City
MIDWEST CITY, OK – We have learned that the official response to yesterday’s cattle hauler accident required the assistance of a professional cowboy.
A father and son were transporting an estimated 62 head of cattle yesterday when their hauler crashed and overturned on westbound I-40 near Midwest Boulevard, close to Tinker Air Force Base.
David Richardson with the Midwest City Fire Department told KOCO that that part of the roadway is accident-prone.
State troopers, firefighters, and at least one cowboy were all involved in the official response.
Authorities had to cut into the vehicle to free the humans as well as the cattle.
At least 12 of the animals died in the crash. We do not know whether the father and son suffered injuries.
Crash reported at 4th and MLK in OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police are responding to a collision that happened at the intersection of NE 4th Street and N Martin Luther King Avenue earlier this morning.
The crash happened shortly before 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
Authorities do not believe anyone was injured.
Commuters should avoid the area if possible. N Lottie Avenue appears clear at this time.
