OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A person who was lying on the road died after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 40 West on Saturday, Koco5 said.

The crash occurred before 11 p.m. near Post Road. The driver told Oklahoma City Police that they could not avoid a collision.

Police did not specify why the person was lying on the road, release their identity, or provide more information about the crash.

Alleged DUI driver causes NW OKC collision that sent 4 to hospital

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An alleged DUI driver was responsible for causing a two-car collision that sent four people to the hospital on Sunday.

The two-car collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest 16th Street and Independence Avenue, according to Koco5.

Six occupants in total were involved in the crash. The suspected impaired driver and one passenger were in one car, and four occupants, two adults and two children, were in another car.

The four occupants were transported to the emergency room for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, who appear to be in serious condition.

It’s unclear if the alleged impaired driver and their passenger were injured, although police say they arrested them for driving under the influence.

Motorcyclist killed in crash involving SUV in Bixby

BIXBY, OK – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving an SUV in Bixby, west of Bixby Cemetery, on Saturday, Newson6 said.

The motorcyclist collided with an SUV in the area of East 151st Street South and South 53rd Avenue. The specifics of what led to the two-vehicle crash remain unclear, but the impact of the collision led the motorcyclist to succumb to his injuries.

Police declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene and have not released any information about him or about the SUV driver, including whether they were cited or could face charges for their involvement in the two-vehicle crash.
