TULSA , OK – Law enforcement arrested a man after a pursuit-turned-crash outside the University of Tulsa overnight, Newson6.

The incident began when the male driver swerved towards an Osago County deputy’s vehicle. The deputy inside tried to stop the man, but he continued driving erratically. A pursuit was initiated by the Osago County deputies, and then called for back up from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in the area of Highway 11 and Interstate 244.

The suspect eventually crashed the car he was driving in the area of East 4th Street and South Harvard Avenue. The male suspect had nowhere to run and was shortly arrested and taken into custody.

EMS crews confirmed the male suspect sustained minor injuries and was sent to the hospital for treatment.

No formal charges appeared to have been filed, but law enforcement claimed the man was driving under suspension and eluding officers.

The specifics of the initial traffic stop remain unclear. If and when we know more, we will provide updates.
