SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision in Southwest Oklahoma City on Friday, Koco5 reports.
The crash happened at the intersection of Newcastle Road and Portland Avenue, and seemed to involve a silver sedan and a dark colored Chevrolet pickup truck, according to Koco5’s video footage.
At least one person was treated for their injuries at the scene by the Emergency Medical Services Authority. Officials, however, did not say if anyone needed to go to the hospital.
Fire crews and law enforcement blocked a couple of eastbound lanes to allow tow truck crews to remove the vehicles and for the overall scene-clean-up process and investigation.
Law enforcement has not specified the events leading to the multi-vehicle collision or said whether they cited anyone.
1 sustains minor injuries after car plows into NW OKC nail salon
NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person sustained minor cuts to their arm after a car plowed into the H & H Nails Spa & iLashes nail salon on Thursday, Koco5 said.
The crash occurred at the Warwick Crossing Shopping Center, which is located off West Hefner Road and North Rockwell Avenue.
The salon manager said several people were inside the salon when the crash happened. Despite the nature of the collision, she said the one injured individual did not need to go to the hospital.
Police have not said what caused the driver to crash into the building and have not reported any citations or charges.
Man to face 40 years in prison following fatal 2025 Mustang crash
MUSTANG, OK – On Thursday, April 30, a man was sentenced to 40 years in prison in connection with a fatal crash that claimed the life of a woman in 2025, KFOR reports.
The sentence came after the man pleaded guilty to several charges stacked against him.
The Backstory: The collision occurred on February 7, 2025, at the intersection of Southwest 89th Street and Oklahoma 4, at a red light. The man was driving a pickup truck when he rear-ended another vehicle, occupied by that woman, her then-husband, and their two friends.
The woman succumbed to her injuries, while her husband and friends survived and were left with unspecified injuries.
The man fled the scene of the collision and was found three hours later.
Law enforcement later determined that the man was under the influence, having a BAC level of 0.197 and muscle relaxers in his system.
Police also said the man drove 100 mph in fog and had no headlights on.
The man may be eligible for parole after over 30 years in jail and expressed remorse for his actions.
DPS investigates injury traffic collision in OKC’s Northgate
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is investigating the details behind an injury traffic collision in the Northgate neighborhood on Friday.
The crash occurred before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Memorial Road and southbound Broadway Extension, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.
Deputies have not specified the extent of injuries, how many people were injured, or whether anyone needed to go to the hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
1 killed, another injured in pursuit-turned-crash in Catoosa
CATOOSA, OK – One person was killed, and another was injured in a pursuit-turned-crash in Catoosa on Thursday, Newson6 reports.
The incident unfolded when a Catoosa police officer saw a 24-year-old man riding an unregistered 1988 Honda Hurricane motorcycle, going 120 mph on westbound U.S. 412.
A Catoosa police officer tried to pull over the 24-year-old male motorcyclist, who initially slowed down. He put his blinker on to the right, as if he were going to stop on the exit ramp shoulder at 193rd East Avenue. However, he did not stop and continued driving.
The officer turned off their police lights and sirens and initiated a pursuit.
The chase ended when the motorcyclist ran a red light on 193rd E. Avenue and crashed into an SUV.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol was also called to the scene and conducted CPR on the motorcyclist, who died from their injuries at 10:29 p.m.
The SUV driver survived and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, partly due to the deployed airbag. The Emergency Medical Services Authority rushed the driver to a Tulsa hospital for precaution.
Catoosa Police said the 24-year-old man’s motorcycle did not have a license plate and confirmed he wore a helmet and protective gear during the chase that turned into a crash.
DPS called to vehicle accident in OKC’s Oak Cliff
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was called to the scene of a vehicle accident in the Oak Cliff neighborhood on Friday.
DPS were dispatched to the 4200th block of Southeast 44th Street and pulled up to the scene before 12:30 p.m., according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.
Officials have not specified how the collision unfolded or whether anyone was injured or cited for their involvement in the crash.
