PRYOR, OK – A 1-year-old child died in a crash that took place in a private driveway in Pryor on Tuesday, OKCFOX said.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the incident unfolded after 8:30 p.m. when a driver was attempting to back out of a driveway and struck the child with their vehicle.

OHP confirmed the toddler succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

There have been no mentions of filed charges.

1 extricated from car following three-vehicle collision on I-40 West in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person had to be extricated from their car following a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 40 West in Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

An overturned silver sedan could be seen on its roof on the shoulder, according to Koco5. At least one ambulance, a fire truck, and multiple police cars were also at the scene.

Right now, we assume that the extricated person was initially trapped in the vehicle. The impact of the crash led at least one person to sustain minor injuries, not serious ones.

While no lane closures were reported, traffic congestion was seen in the west and eastbound directions, as officials worked to clear the scene.

1 injured in multi-vehicle crash on Creek Turnpike in Broken Arrow

BROKEN ARROW, OK – One person sustained minor injuries in a multi-vehicle crash that happened on Creek Turnpike West on Wednesday, News on 6 said.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol and fire and EMS crews responded to the scene around 8 a.m. and said they believe at least seven vehicles were involved. The nature of the crash was not disclosed, although video footage showed a gray-colored sedan with significant rear-end damage on the left side, a red SUV with some heavy rear-end dents, and a white SUV that did not look damaged, but did have a popped hood.

A pickup truck was also seen behind a police cruiser and appeared to be disabled with a missing tire.

Officials have not said whether anyone needed to go to the hospital, and OHP has not specified the events leading to the crash.

Red light runner in custody after crash involving OKC PD car

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A driver, who ran a red light, is in custody after a crash involving an Oklahoma City Police Department car on Tuesday.

Oklahoma City Police told News on 6 the incident occurred around 3 a.m. The driver ignored a red light and proceeded through the intersection of Northwest 6th Street and North Shartel Avenue and crashed into an OKC police cruiser.

Police said they placed the driver into custody and confirmed the driver was unarmed.

No injuries have been reported.

At least 1 hurt in vehicle accident outside OKC’s Homeland grocery store

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident that happened outside the Homeland grocery store on Wednesday.

According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the intersection of North Classen Boulevard and Northwest 17th Street.

DPS pulled up to the scene before 12:30 p.m. Troopers did not report any lane closures, but likely told drivers to proceed with caution as crews worked to clear the area and for investigation purposes.

Officials have not confirmed the severity of injuries and are actively working to determine the contributing factors behind the vehicle accident.
