TULSA, OK – Tulsa County deputies arrested a suspect after a pursuit-turned-crash that happened in Tulsa on Tuesday, News on 6 said.

The incident began alongside Yaffe Metals. The suspect got into a man’s truck and immediately drove away.

A short time later, deputies spotted the suspect driving the truck in the area of 36th Street North and MLK Boulevard. The suspect crashed into another vehicle and went into a bike/walking trail.

Deputies decided to end the pursuit, and moments later, the suspect crashed into two power poles. The truck got caught on the lines, and the suspect attempted to run away from the scene, but was immediately captured by a deputy and their K-9.

UPDATE: Suspect arrested in connection with fatal hit-and-run collision in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A suspect was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision in Oklahoma City that occurred on Monday, OKCFOX reports.

This comes as an update in connection with our previous post. The suspect, a 28-year-old man, was reportedly impaired when he crashed his car into two pedestrians in the area of Interstate 35 and Northwest 36th Street.

The pedestrians were found lying on the floor, and one of them succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the other survived and was rushed to a hospital for treatment of bruised lungs and two broken femurs.

The suspect did not render aid and kept driving. A short time later, Oklahoma City police pulled over the suspect on the 3500th block of North Interstate 35 Service Road after he ran a stop sign. His vehicle also had a detective front headlight.

Two eyewitnesses also flagged down the officers and told them that the suspect struck the two pedestrians and fled the scene.

Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of the following: aggravated DUI, defective headlights, failing to stop at a stop sign, causing an accident without a valid driver’s license, leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in death, and second-degree murder.

At least 1 injured in vehicle crash in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle crash reported before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, the crash occurred on westbound Interstate 44 at exit 127A and southbound Broadway Extension Highway.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not specified the extent of injuries sustained or said if anyone needed to go to a hospital.

OHP is working to determine the events leading to the collision.

OHP investigates injury collision in Choctaw

CHOCTAW, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating an injury collision that happened in Choctaw on Wednesday.

The crash happened before 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast 29th Street and South Hiwassee Road, the OKC Response & Accident Tracker reveals.

OHP has not specified the extent of injuries sustained or said how many people and vehicles were involved.

OHP is working to pinpoint the events leading up to the crash.

Vehicle crash reported in OKC’s Roberts Crest 

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, a vehicle crash happened in the Roberts Crest area on Wednesday. 

The collision happened before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of North May Avenue and Northwest 63rd Street. 

OHP have not reported any injuries or citations at this time. 

A full investigation is underway. 

OHP dispatched to traffic collision along Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

YUKON, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a traffic collision that happened along Ollie’s Bargain Outlet on Wednesday.

According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, the collision occurred before 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of West Vandament Avenue and South Cornwell Drive.

OHP has not reported citations or injuries at this time and is continuing to investigate the details behind the crash.
