NEAR LAKE OOLOGAH, OK – Three people died, and three others were injured in a head-on crash that happened west of Lake Oologah on the Fourth of July.

Koco5 said the collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. off Highway 169 and County Road East 300. According to OKCFOX, a Chevy Trax car and a GMC Sierra pickup truck, hauling a boat, collided head-on.

The impact of the crash led a 22-year-old man from Wagoner, a 21-year-old man from Sapulpa, and a 17-year-old teenager to die from their injuries.

It appears the 21-year-old man was a driver of one of the vehicles, although the Oklahoma Highway Patrol did not specify which vehicle he was driving. OHP, did, however, confirm that one of his passengers was injured, and two other passengers from the other vehicle involved were injured as well.

OHP is working to determine the contributing factors behind the fatal head-on crash.

Motorcyclist hospitalized after hit-and-run crash on Independence Day  in Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY, OK – A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital following a hit-and-run crash on Independence Day, Koco5 reports.

Local police said a driver struck the motorcyclist with their vehicle in the area of South Midwest Boulevard and East Towry Drive on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the driver, who they believe was driving a black sedan, did not render aid to the victim and continued driving south of Midwest Boulevard.

EMS crews rushed the motorcyclist to the emergency room for a head injury.

Officials temporarily closed the area to accommodate the on-scene clean-up process and investigation.

4 in serious condition after five-vehicle collision in Edmond

EDMOND, OK – Four people suffered serious injuries as a result of a five-vehicle collision along Lake Arcadia in Edmond on Saturday, OKCFOX said.

Edmond police said three motorcycles and two vehicles collided before 3 p.m. in the area of U.S. 66 and North Douglas Boulevard.

The impact of the collision left two motorcyclists and two vehicle occupants with serious injuries, all of whom were taken to the hospital.

Edmond police are actively working to determine the events leading up to the crash and have not announced any charges at this time.

Semi-truck rollover accident reported NE OKC during severe Fourth of July storms 

NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A semi-truck crashed and overturned on Interstate 44 during some severe storms on Saturday night.

Koco5 said downed power lines and damaged trees were seen at the scene of the crash, but did not say whether those objects were impacted by the storms or were a direct result of the semi-truck rollover accident. 

Over the Fourth of July weekend, the source’s metrologist said the OKC metro area saw 90 mph winds, but officials have not confirmed whether that was a major contributing factor behind Saturday’s semi-truck rollover accident. 

No injuries or citations have been confirmed.

35-year-old man’s life claimed in rollover collision near Carrier

NEAR CARRIER, OK – A 35-year-old man’s life was claimed in a rollover collision that occurred north of Carrier last Thursday, July 2.

The incident happened before 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 132 and West Robertson Road, according to OKCFOX.

The 35-year-old man from Florida was driving when, for reasons unclear, he crossed the center line and crashed into a concrete culvert.

Moments later, he crashed his vehicle into a barbed wire fence, causing his vehicle to overturn and throwing him from it.

Subsequently, the male driver died from his injuries at the scene.

Officials did not confirm whether the motorist was the sole occupant of his vehicle.

At least 1 injured in traffic accident in OKC’s Country Place

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a traffic accident that took place in Oklahoma City’s Country Place on Monday.

According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest 134th Street and South Pennsylvania Avenue.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not confirmed the extent of injuries or listed the number of people and vehicles involved.

No citations or arrests were reported.
