NEAR MARIETTA, OK – Two adults were killed, and two children were hospitalized after a car crashed into a tree near Marietta on Sunday, KTEN reports. 

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the incident unfolded around 4:15 p.m. A 45-year-old man driving a 2002 blue Buick sedan on Interstate 35 South had traveled to the right side of the road when his car overturned. The overturned car then struck a tree. 

The male driver and his adult passenger, a 37-year-old woman, died from their injuries. They were from Fort Worth, Texas. The woman’s two children, also in the car, survived and sustained unspecified injuries. 

First responders transported the children to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore and then to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City for treatment. The children have since been released from the hospital. 

OHP is working to determine what caused the male driver to lose control of his car.

Henryetta man’s life claimed in two-vehicle collision in Council Hill

COUNCIL HILL, OK – A 44-year-old man from Henryetta died as a result of a two-vehicle collision in Council Hill on Saturday, Fox23 said.

The incident unfolded when a driver traveling south on State Highway 72 went into northbound traffic and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by the Henryetta man.

The Henryetta man, the sole occupant of his vehicle, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and medics confirmed the driver was injured.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol started an investigation and has not released additional information at this time.

At least 1 injured in crash in OKC’s Britton neighborhood

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a crash in the Britton neighborhood on Tuesday.

According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the intersection of North 88th Street and Classen Boulevard, and pulled up to the scene around 11 a.m.

Officials have not specified the events leading to the collision or said whether anyone needed to go to the hospital.

New information, which includes reports of citations and charges, will be provided once we learn more.

DPS dispatched to vehicle accident in OKC’s John K. Kennedy

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of a vehicle accident in the John K. Kennedy area on Tuesday.

DPS were summoned to the 100th block of South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and pulled up to the scene before 10:15 a.m., the OKC Response & Accident Tracker said.

DPS has not reported any injuries or citations.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

No injuries reported in traffic collision in OKC’s Blue Quail Ridge

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – No injuries were reported in a traffic collision in Oklahoma City’s Blue Quail Ridge neighborhood on Tuesday.

The collision happened before noon at the intersection of westbound West Memorial Road and southbound North Pennsylvania Avenue, the OKC Response & Accident Tracker reveals.

DPS is working to determine the cause of the crash and has not reported any citations.
