OKMULGEE COUNTY, OK – A 55-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 75 on Friday, Fox23 said. 

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the incident unfolded before 3:30 p.m. when the 55-year-old woman, driving south on the highway, crashed into a vehicle that was pulling out of a driveway and crossing over into the highway’s eastbound lanes. 

The 55-year-old woman’s vehicle drifted off the road, overturned, and stopped in a grassy median. The woman, from Henryetta, died from her injuries at the scene. 

The other driver was uninjured. 

OHP confirmed that both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles and that no additional commentary has been provided at this time. 

66-year-old man’s life claimed in crash in Seminole County

SEMINOLE COUNTY, OK – A 66-year-old man’s life was claimed in a rear-end crash that occurred on Highway 99 last Thursday, May 13, according to OKCFOX.

The crash happened before noon in a construction zone. Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 17-year-old teen driver could not stop in time for either stopped or slowed traffic and rear-ended a car driven by a 66-year-old man.

The impact of that collision led the 66-year-old man to succumb to his injuries at the scene.

No injuries were reported for the teen driver, and OHP did not say if they cited the young motorist.

Woman charged with DUI in connection with fatal ATV collision in Ardmore

ARDMORE, OK – A 20-year-old woman was charged with DUI in connection with a fatal ATV collision that happened over the weekend.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol told KTEN that the 20-year-old woman crashed an ATV into a tree.

The impact of the crash left her passenger, also a 20-year-old woman, in critical condition. First responders airlifted her to a hospital in Plano, Texas, where she later died.

OHP said the driver is facing DUI charges, reckless driving charges, and driving with an open beer can. The OHP captain also said she may face additional charges.

Speeding possible factor in crash that killed 20-year-old man near Orlando, OHP says

NEAR ORLANDO, OK – Oklahoma Highway Patrol suspects speeding was a possible factor behind a crash that killed a 20-year-old man near Orlando on Saturday, OKCFOX said.

The collision happened before 2 a.m. on U.S. 77 North near East County Road 59. OHP believes the 20-year-old man was driving at a high rate of speed, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle, plow into a fence, and then go through a field and crash into a ditch.

The vehicle overturned and crashed into the pond. The driver, an Orlando local, did not wear a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

No other occupants were reported to be involved.

Man, 30, in critical condition after motorcycle-pickup truck crash in Owasso

OWASSO, OK – A 30-year-old man was left in critical condition after a motorcycle-pickup truck crash in Owasso on Friday, Newson6 reports.

The collision occurred before 10:45 p.m. in the area of North 73rd Street and North Mingo Road.

Local Police did not specify the events leading to the crash, but said the motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries.

The pickup truck driver cooperated with investigators and participated in a DUI blood test without incident.

Police did not say whether the toxicology results were released, and did not specify whether they cited the pickup truck driver or if they could face charges.

Traffic delays reported on I-40, I-35 in downtown OKC after crash, stalled tanker truck

DOWNTOWN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Traffic delays were reported on Interstate 40 West and Interstate 35 North on Monday due to a crash and a stalled tanker truck.

The multi-vehicle crash happened on Interstate 35 North near I-40, and the tanker truck stalled under the overpass on I-40, according to Koco.

No injuries were reported, and officials have not confirmed what led to both incidents.
