GUYMON, OK – Two Guymon firefighters were injured in a collision that occurred on Highway 136 near the Kansas and Texas state lines on Thursday, OKCFOX reports.
The incident unfolded before 4:30 p.m. when the firefighters were responding to a large grass fire caused by lightning in Kansas. As they were driving, their front right tire went over the right shoulder of the highway and overcorrected, which led the firetruck engine to overturn several times and come to rest in a ditch.
The two firefighters were able to remove themselves from the vehicle and called 911. Medics treated one firefighter at the scene for minor injuries, while EMS transported the other to a hospital for treatment of chest and back injuries.
The hospitalized firefighter is reportedly in stable condition.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol started an investigation and has not released additional information at this time.
OK DPS dispatched to vehicle crash outside Norman’s EMSStat Southside Station
NORMAN, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of a vehicle crash that happened outside the EMSStat Southside Station on Friday.
DPS were summoned to the 3200th block of 13th Place and arrived at the scene just before noon, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.
Officials have not reported any injuries at this time or confirmed whether they cited anyone.
DPS is continuing to investigate the details behind the crash.

CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – No injuries were reported in a vehicle collision that occurred in Central Oklahoma City on Friday.
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the intersection of southbound North Pennsylvania Avenue and eastbound Northwest 12th Street, the OKC Response & Accident Tracker reveals.

The collision happened before 11:45 p.m. at the eastbound West Memorial Road and northbound North Pennsylvania Avenue, the OKC Response & Accident Tracker reports.
As of this writing, no one appeared to have been injured, and DPS has not announced any citations or charges for the involved occupants.

DPS responds to collision west of OKC East KOA Holiday
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is responding to the scene of a collision that happened west of OKC East Koa Holiday on Friday.
DPS were called to the intersection of Southeast 59th Street and South Henney Road and pulled up to the scene before 1:30 p.m., according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.
