OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the details behind a deadly collision that occurred at the eastbound I-240 and May Avenue on Tuesday.
News9 said OHP and other officials closed the area for the scene clean-up process and overall investigation. During that time, authorities urged drivers to proceed with caution as crews cleaned up the debris and removed the impacted vehicle(s).
OHP has not reported the number of fatalities and is actively working to determine the contributing factors behind the collision.

1 hospitalized following pedestrian-tractor-trailer collision in South OKC
SOUTH OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was sent to the hospital following a pedestrian-tractor-trailer collision on I-44 on Wednesday.
The pedestrian was struck by a tractor-trailer around 10:15 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of I-44, near Southwest 149th Street, KOCO reports.
EMS crews transported the pedestrian to a hospital, where they are receiving treatment for unspecified injuries.
Law enforcement and officials appeared to have blocked off a section of the interstate and were seen redirecting traffic onto the shoulder.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department also responded to the scene.
Alleged DUI driver crashes truck into Tulsa thrift store
TULSA, OK – An alleged DUI driver was responsible for crashing his white pickup truck into a Tulsa thrift store on Tuesday, KTUL reports.
The pickup truck crash occurred before 1 a.m. at Family & Children’s Services – Thrift Store at 724 South Utica Avenue. Tulsa police said the driver’s white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck rammed into the north wall, leaving it with significant damage.
The pickup truck driver attempted to flee, but was quickly arrested on suspicion of DUI by police.
The driver exhibited signs of impairment and also had a “couple of beers” to commemorate the loss of his grandfather.
The store is boarded up and will be closed until the repairs can be made.
OHP shuts down portion of I-44 East due to semi-truck crash in Catoosa
CATOOSA, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol shut down a portion of I-44 East due to a semi-truck crash on Wednesday.
KTUL said the collision occurred in a construction zone near Oklahoma Highway 66. OHP said the semi-truck lost a piece of equipment, which prompted a road closure that started before 9 a.m.
Closures are still in effect. Officials have not specified when the road would reopen, nor have they determined the cause of the collision.

At least 1 injured in vehicle accident in South OKC
SOUTH OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident that occurred on I-44 along Southwest 149th Street on Wednesday.
OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker first reported the crash at 10:16 a.m., saying it happened south of the Will Rogers International Airport.
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety has not revealed how the collision unfolded, listed the number of people and vehicles involved, or specified the extent of injuries sustained.

OK-DOT closes portion of I-44 in Northwest OKC
NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews blocked a portion of northbound I-44 due to a Wednesday morning crash.
Total Traffic Network’s OKC division first reported the crash at 8:10 a.m., saying it took place along exit 121 at Northwest 10th Street.

Transportation workers closed the inside shoulder, causing traffic delays visible towards Exit 116 at Airport Road. Authorities reopened all lanes at 8:35 a.m.
