SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Three people were sent to a hospital following a pursuit that turned into a rollover crash in Southwest Oklahoma City on Sunday. 

News9 said the incident began when Oklahoma City police responded to a shots-fired emergency call off I-44 and May Avenue. The suspect who reportedly opened fire fled the scene from police in their pickup truck. 

The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed the pickup truck into a fence off Interstate 44 and Southwest 44th Street. The force of the collision caused the truck to flip over on its side, and the suspect and two others with them were injured. 

EMS crews transported the three individuals to a hospital for treatment. 

A thorough investigation is underway. 

Car overturns in Owasso, claiming 2 lives 

OWASSO, OK – Two people lost their lives in a rollover collision that took place on the 9500th block of U.S. 169 North in Owasso on Saturday, KTUL reports. 

Owasso police and fire crews pulled up to the scene of the rollover collision after 11 p.m. Preliminary details reveal that the driver was allegedly driving dangerously and swerving left to right. The driver went on to lose control of their vehicle, causing it to overturn three times and ejecting two people.

Ambulance personnel transported two people to a hospital, where they later died. Officials later said the victims were a 43-year-old man and his 18-year-old son from Copan, OK. 

Owasso police closed the northbound lanes between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. During the closures, police redirected northbound traffic towards 86th Street. 

OK-DOT closes portion of Lake Hefner Pkwy. off-ramp due to a traffic crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation closed a portion of the northbound Lake Hefner Parkway due to a traffic crash on Monday.

Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City division first reported the traffic crash at 9:05 a.m., saying it took place at the eastbound Northwest Expressway.

Officials are working to determine the exact cause of the collision. At this time, they have not said they cited anyone or if anyone was injured.

1 killed, 1 injured in rollover collision in Duncan 

DUNCAN, OK – One person was killed and another person was injured in a rollover collision on County Road 2900 on Saturday, OKCFOX reports. 

Preliminary details show that a 19-year-old adult driver lost control of their vehicle, which led them to drift off the road and crash their vehicle into a fence and two trees. The vehicle rolled over several times, and the driver, a Duncan local, died from their injuries at the scene. 

The driver’s passenger survived and was left with unspecified injuries. 

OHP confirmed that not all involved occupants wore seat belts. A full investigation is underway.

OK-DOT called to crash in South OKC

SOUTH OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation was called to the scene of a crash that happened in South Oklahoma City on Monday.

The collision occurred after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest 89th Street and South Pennsylvania Avenue, according to Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City.

The exact cause of the vehicle accident has not been reported.
