NORMAN, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is on the hunt for a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened in Norman on Sunday, News9 reports.
OHP’s preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect was operating a tow truck and hauling a black pickup truck. While driving in the area of 192nd Avenue Southwest, the pickup truck became loose, detached, and crashed into another vehicle.
The tow truck driver did not render aid to the driver of the other vehicle, make an effort to re-attach the black pickup truck to the tow truck, or call 911. The tow truck driver immediately fled the scene, leaving the black pickup truck behind.
The black pickup truck sustained significant front-end damage, and the driver of the vehicle that was struck succumbed to their injuries.
Members of the public are urged to contact OHP at (405) 425-2323 immediately if they have any information on the suspect or about the collision.
