MIDWEST CITY, OK – A 37-year-old man from Kansas lost his life to a collision involving a vehicle with a family of four on Monday night, KOCO reported in an update.
The 37-year-old man was said to have driven 100 mph when he ran a red light at the intersection of North Douglas Boulevard and 23rd Street. KOCO also said in the update that the man struck the other vehicle head-on. A further investigation also revealed that the other vehicle had the green light at the time of the crash.
The family of four, a mother and father, and their two children, all wore seatbelts and were left with non-life-threatening injuries.
Pursuit ends in pickup truck rollover collision in Atoka County
ATOKA COUNTY, OK – A police pursuit ended in a pickup truck crashing and overturning on its side on Wednesday night in Atoka County.
KTEN said the events started in Tushka. Atoka County deputies were going after a white pickup truck with a Texas license plate on State Highway 3. During the pursuit, the pickup truck driver turned around before crashing into a storage building at the Shady Oaks Resort.
The Atoka County Sheriff’s Office alleged that the suspect had opened fire on some of the deputies during the pursuit.
Officials have not confirmed what led to the pursuit and have not offered additional commentary on this specific crash.
No pending charges have been announced, and no injuries were reported.
1 killed, another hurt in T-bone crash in Seminole County
SEMINOLE COUNTY, OK – One person was killed and another was injured in a T-bone crash that took place in Seminole County around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
According to OKCFOX, the events unfolded when a 79-year-old male driver turned in front of another vehicle at the intersection of 3610 Road and State Highway 59, which caused a T-bone collision.
The other driver attempted to avoid a collision but was unable to do so.
The 79-year-old man died, and his passenger was left with unspecified injuries, while the other driver was uninjured.
Both drivers wore seatbelts.
Crews partially block NW Expressway off in NW OKC due to crash
NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Transportation crews partially blocked the Northwest Expressway off-ramp due to a vehicle crash that happened before 7 a.m.
Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City division said the crash took place at the NW Expressway and North May Avenue connector.
Officials are working to determine the exact cause of the collision and have not announced any citations at this time.
OK Public Safety responds to injury collision in Windsor Hills
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Public Safety Department responded to an injury collision in the Windsor Hills area.
OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker said crews were dispatched to the intersection of Northwest 36th Street and North Meridian Avenue and arrived at the scene before 10:30 p.m.
Officials are working to determine the exact cause of the collision and have not said whether anyone was cited.
Crews called to vehicle accident in West Oklahoma City
WEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Transportation crews were summoned to the scene of a vehicle accident that occurred on Mustang Road north of I-40 on Thursday.
