NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person died from their injuries after a car crashed into a 20-foot concrete drainage in Northwest Oklahoma City on Sunday, Koco5 said.

This new piece of information is an update in connection with a story we posted yesterday. Two vehicles collided in the area of Northwest 35th Street and North May Avenue. The impact of the two-vehicle crash caused one of the vehicles to then crash into the drainage ditch.

Fire crews hurried to the scene and used a modified cane to remove the car from the drain.

The two occupants inside the car that was freed suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital. There, one of the occupants succumbed to their injuries.

Officials said EMS evaluated a third person for injuries, but did not need to take them to the emergency room.
