STRINGTOWN, OK – An 18-year-old woman was killed in a crash involving a box truck in Stringtown on Sunday, KTEN reports.
The collision occurred before 12:45 p.m. in the area of Highway 69 and Fred’s Fish Camp Road. Stringtown Police said a southbound box truck struck a Mazda CX-3 car, driven by the 18-year-old woman, a Stringtown local.
The impact of the crash caused the 18-year-old woman to lose control of her car, go over the divider, and into the northbound lanes. She became trapped inside her car, requiring extrication by the Stringtown Volunteer Fire Department.
Firefighters were able to free the 18-year-old woman, and Atoka County EMS personnel transported her to Atoka County Medical Center, where she later died.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol is taking on the investigation, and has not said if they cited or arrested the box truck driver for their involvement in the crash.

3 suspects in custody following pursuit-turned-crash in OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Three suspects were left in custody following a pursuit-turned-crash in Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
The suspects, who were fleeing from police, crashed their vehicle in the area of Northeast 122nd Street and Broadway Extension around midnight, Koco reports.
Police tried to flee the scene of the crash on foot, but were immediately detained and taken into custody.
At least five police cruisers were at the scene of the crash.

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident that happened in Northwest Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
The crash occurred after 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest 133rd Street and North Rockwell Avenue, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.
Authorities did not report any citations or specify the severity of injuries.
