SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was hospitalized following a crash on Interstate 35 South near Southeast 89th Street on Thursday.

The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. and issued southbound lane closures, according to Koco.  Immediately following the collision, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol diverted traffic toward Southeast 88th Street.

Officials did not specify the events leading to the crash or the physical condition of the person involved in the collision.

UPDATE: 2 instead of 1 sent to hospital after I-35 crash near SE 88th Street

SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two people, instead of one, were sent to a hospital after a crash on Interstate 35 near Southeast 88th Street on Thursday, a News9 update reveals.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the incident unfolded around 11:30 p.m., when one driver crashed their vehicle into a center wall and crashed into a light pole.

The impact of that collision caused the light pole to overturn and come to rest on a wall, and left the driver and passenger with unspecified injuries.

Officials shut down several lanes of Interstate 35 for the scene-clean-up process and investigation, and have since reopened the area.

OHP dispatched to two semi-trailer collision near Wellston

NEAR WELLSTON, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a two-semi-trailer collision on Highway 177 East on Friday.

According to Koco, it appeared that one semi-trailer crashed into the back of another semi-truck. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. One truck driver was seen walking around and appeared uninjured.

It’s unclear whether anyone else was injured or cited for their involvement in the crash.

Man, 81, killed in two-vehicle crash in Latta

LATTA, OK – An 81-year-old man from Ada was killed in a two-vehicle crash that happened in Latta on Thursday, KTEN reports.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the incident unfolded around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of  State Highway 1 and County Road 1570. OHP determined that the 81-year-old male driver failed to yield the right of way when he collided with a southbound vehicle.

The elderly man died from his injuries, while the other driver and passenger were uninjured.

OK DPS investigates injury vehicle accident along Wiley Post Airport – PWA

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is investigating the details behind an injury vehicle accident along Wiley Post Airport – PWA.

The collision happened before 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest 63rd Street and North Rockwell Avenue, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.

Officials did not specify the severity of injuries sustained or confirm how the collision unfolded.

Collision reported outside Will Rogers Int. Airport

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the scene of a collision reported outside Will Rogers International Airport on Friday.

The crash occurred before noon at the intersection of Southwest 45th Street and South Land Avenue, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.

DPS has not reported any injuries and is working to determine the cause of the crash.
