HUSKELL, OK – Impairment was a contributing factor behind a head-on crash that killed an 18-year-old woman, local to Huskell, last week, according to an KTUL update.

The crash occurred before 1 a.m. on Saturday on State Highway 72 near West Dozer Road. The alleged impaired driver was driving north on State Highway 72 when he went into the southbound lane and collided with a Honda Civic.

The Honda Civic driver, the 18-year-old woman, died from her injuries at the scene.

The impaired driver, a 35-year-old Tulsa man, was sent to the hospital and released on Wednesday, March 11. He turned himself in to the Tulsa County Jail and is being charged with first-degree manslaughter.
