LAWTON, OK – A 71-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash that happened along Lake Lawtonka in Lawton on Wednesday, KSWO reports.
The head-on crash occurred in the area of State Highway 58 and Northwest Miller Road. Oklahoma Highway Patrol determined that the 71-year-old female driver went into State Highway 58’s northbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The 71-year-old woman, from Medicine Park, died from her injuries at the scene.
It’s unclear if the other driver or occupants were injured. OHP has not confirmed what caused the Medicine Park local to lose control of her vehicle.
OHP trooper involved in collision near John Kilpatrick Turnpike in OKC
OKLAHOMA, OK – An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a collision that took place near the John Kilpatrick Turnpike and West Wilshire Boulevard on Wednesday, News9 said.
The incident occurred during a construction zone. The OHP trooper was working a shift during the construction zone when he was struck by another vehicle. It’s unclear if the trooper was injured.
OHP did not say what caused the driver of the other vehicle to crash into the trooper or say if they would face charges.

Police arrested teenage driver in connection with hit-and-run in Tulsa
TULSA, OK – Tulsa police arrested a teenage driver in connection with a hit-and-run crash in the Shadow Ridge area on Tuesday, KTUL reports.
The incident unfolded when a person driving a black Hyundai Elantra crashed head-on into a white SUV after turning onto 91st Street from South Mingo Road.
The driver of the black Hyundai, a 19-year-old man, was reportedly speeding while operating his vehicle. Once he struck the white SUV, he exited his vehicle and ran away from the scene, according to the SUV driver.
Prior to the hit-and-run crash, the 19-year-old man was involved in a domestic violence dispute between his family in Bixby. The 19-year-old man drove away, which prompted a pursuit. That pursuit then ended when he crashed into the SUV.
The SUV driver and the suspect appeared to be uninjured, while the SUV passenger was injured.
Tulsa and Bixby Police worked together and found the 19-year-old male suspect after he fled the scene after the crash with the white SUV.
Law enforcement arrested him and booked him into Tulsa County Jail for eluding and leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in injuries.
Tailgating was factor in rollover crash, arrest in Tulsa, police say
TULSA, OK – Tailgating was a contributing factor that led to a rollover crash and an arrest that occurred last Saturday, Feb. 21, according to KTUL.
Tulsa Police’s preliminary details show that a 34-year-old male driver was tailgating an SUV on Highway 75. The tailgating continued for several lanes until the 34-year-old man eventually passed the SUV. The male driver then merged into the same lane as the SUV.
The man’s vehicle collided with the SUV, and the SUV then left the road and overturned.
First responders transported the SUV occupant to a hospital.
Police arrested the 34-year-old man. He is facing assault with a dangerous weapon, no insurance, and an expired tag charge.

EDMOND, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident in the Remington area on Thursday.
OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker first reported the crash at 1:10 p.m., saying it took place at the intersection of eastbound Northwest 150th Street and North Portland Avenue.
