Scott Porter is an attorney at Cain Law representing individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others. A native Oklahoman, Scott grew up in Edmond and brings a strong sense of community and dedication to serving fellow Oklahomans through his legal practice.
Scott earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, graduating in 2025, and successfully passed the July 2025 Oklahoma Bar Examination. Prior to law school, he earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in history from the University of Central Oklahoma, where he developed strong research, writing, and analytical skills that now serve him well in litigation and advocacy.
Scott began working at Cain Law as a legal intern in 2023, gaining hands-on experience in personal injury litigation and working closely with attorneys across the firm. After passing the bar, he transitioned into his role as an attorney, continuing to advocate for injured Oklahomans and ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and heard throughout the legal process. Outside of the office, Scott enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active by riding his bike.
“When I met Monty Cain, I liked and trusted him right away. That is why I picked him as my lawyer for my serious injuries caused by a drunk driver. Monty and his Legal assistance have worked very hard and settled my case as fast as they could. The drunk driver did not have enough insurance to compensate me for my injuries and Monty went after the business that sold him the alcohol. I was very happy with my settlement. ”
