ARDMORE, OK – According to an update from KXII, it was a man who was killed after crashing his black Mercedes SUV into a tree in Ardmore on Monday.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Dogwood Road. The male driver was entrapped or pinned and required extrication by Dickson Fire crews.

Firecrews extricated the driver, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene. First responders then transported his body into a hearse. The man’s black SUV was significantly damaged and towed away from the scene.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is working to determine the cause of the crash. The decedent’s identity has not been disclosed.

Telephone pole knocked down in hit-and-run crash in Sand Springs 

SAND SPRINGS, OK – A telephone pole was knocked down as a result of a hit-and-run crash in Sand Springs on Monday, KJRH reports. 

The incident unfolded before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 64 and Adams Road. There, Sand Springs Police spotted a stolen vehicle driven by the suspect and began a pursuit. The chase ended in the area of East 10th Street and North Adams Road. 

The Sand Springs Nursing & Rehab Center building was left without power after the collision. 

The suspect exited the stolen vehicle and ran away from the scene on foot. Police are actively searching for the suspect.  

First responders investigate two-vehicle collision in SE OKC

SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – First responders are investigating the details behind a two-vehicle collision that happened in Southeast Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Southeast 29th Street and Eastern Avenue, according to KOCO.

Both vehicles were significantly damaged, and debris was scattered across the intersection. At least five vehicles, a fire engine truck, a tow truck, and an Emergency Services vehicle were at the scene. Officials left the northbound lanes open, but closed the southbound lanes to accommodate the flow of traffic.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured. No citations have been reported at this time.

OK-DOT closes portion of NW 23rd St. off-ramp due to crash

NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation shut down a portion of the Northwest 23rd Street off-ramp due to a Tuesday morning crash.

Total Traffic Network’s OKC division first reported the collision at 8:20 a.m., saying it happened on the ramp connecting to southbound I-235.

OK-DPS called to vehicle accident in South OKC

SOUTH OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was called to the scene of a vehicle accident that happened in the Heronville area on Tuesday.

The crash occurred after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest 30th Street and South McKinley Avenue, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.

Officials reported no injuries. They are actively working to determine the cause of the crash.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is investigating the details behind a collision in the Camelot Estates on Tuesday.
