ARDMORE, OK – A 35-year-old man died as a result of a pursuit-turned-collision in Ardmore over Valentine’s Day weekend.
The incident began on Saturday, when a Love County deputy conducted a traffic stop for the 35-year-old man, KTEN reports. The deputy spotted an open container of alcohol in the man’s car and requested the man step out of the vehicle.
The male driver refused to step out of his vehicle and drove away, and turned off his headlights. A pursuit was initiated, and the male driver was traveling at a high rate of 120 mph.
The chase ended when the man crashed his vehicle off an embankment located near Interstate 35 and Holiday Drive. The man was ejected from his vehicle and died from his injuries at the scene.
3 extricated, hospitalized following two-car crash in Moore
MOORE, OK – Three people were extricated from their vehicle and then sent to the hospital following a two-car crash in Moore on Sunday.
The two-car crash occurred at the intersection of Southeast 38th Street and South Sooner Road, KOCO said.
Moore Police said the hospitalized occupants are being treated for critical injuries.
Police have not disclosed the cause of the crash or whether anyone was cited.

Chase ends with vehicle crashing into tree & arrests in South OKC
SOUTH OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two juveniles were arrested after a chase that ended when a vehicle crashed into a tree in South Oklahoma City on Sunday.
Oklahoma City Police told KOCO that the pursuit started in downtown Oklahoma City near Scissortail Park. During the chase, officers conducted three separate tactical maneuvers.
It was during the third attempt that the juvenile driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a tree off.
The juvenile driver and the juvenile passenger with them tried to flee the scene on foot, but were quickly detained.
One life claimed in solo-vehicle crash near Ardmore
NEAR ARDMORE, OK – One life was claimed in a solo-vehicle crash near Ardmore on Monday, KTEN reports.
The incident unfolded when a driver drifted off U.S. 60, a four-lane highway, and crashed into a tree.
Officials reduced traffic to one lane to accommodate the flow of traffic.
Dickson Fire Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene, and said the victim’s body was transferred to a hearse.
Officials have not released the victim’s name at this time.
