LUTHER, OK – Three people were injured as a result of a rear-end collision between an SUV and a Bartlesville public school bus on Saturday, News9 reports.

The crash happened at the intersection of Kickapoo Turnpike and Luther Road. Preliminary details show that an SUV driver tried to brake after seeing debris on the road and was then rear-ended by the school bus as a result. Both of the vehicles crashed into a concrete barrier and then onto the Turner Turnpike shoulder.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 14 children were on board the school bus. According to what officials know so far, it appears that the school bus and SUV drivers were injured, and a third person was injured.

Officials did not say if the third person was an SUV passenger or one of the children on board the bus.
