BRISTOW, OK – A 19-year-old man was killed in a rollover collision that occurred on southbound Highway 48 on Thursday, Fox23 reports.

The incident was reported before 9 p.m. Preliminary details show that the 19-year-old man was driving south when he drifted to the right and crashed into a guardrail, causing the vehicle to overturn on its side.

Paramedics said the driver, the sole occupant of his vehicle, did not wear a seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver was from Mannford.

Car overturns after crashing into power pole in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A car overturned after its driver crashed into a power pole, which resulted in some downed power lines last Friday, Jan. 16.

The rollover crash occurred at the intersection of Northeast 36th Street and Air Depot, which is west of the Spencer neighborhood, KOCO reports.

The driver was spared from serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the rollover crash.

Oklahoma City police are working to determine why the driver crashed into the power pole.

Officials reported no power outages for surrounding homes and businesses.

Man’s life claimed in pedestrian crash in Northeast OKC

NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man’s life was claimed in a pedestrian crash in Northeast Oklahoma City last Friday, Jan. 16. 

KOCO said the incident unfolded after 7 p.m. when a man walked out onto the intersection of North May Avenue and Northwest 178th Street and was struck by a vehicle. 

The man succumbed to his injuries. 

Police and crews closed the area for about 30 minutes before reopening all lanes. 

At least 1 injured in vehicle accident in OKC’s Britton area

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident that occurred in the Britton neighborhood on Friday.

The collision occurred before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Robinson Avenue and West Britton Road, OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker reveals.

At this time, officials have not confirmed the extent of injuries or listed the number of people and vehicles involved.

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is working to determine the cause of the crash.

OK DOT clears scene of NW OKC crash in less than an hour

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Department of Transportation took less than an hour to clear the scene of a crash in Northwest Oklahoma City on Friday.

Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City division first reported the crash at 9:20 a.m. and said it took place at the intersection of West Lake Hefner Drive and Portland Avenue.

Crews took 45 minutes to remove the impacted vehicle(s) from the road, having cleared the scene by 10 a.m. While no lane closures were reported, drivers were likely urged to proceed with caution as crews worked to restore safe road conditions.

Officials did not say if snowy and icy road conditions played a role in the crash or if anyone was injured.

Fiery big rig collision shuts down westbound I-44 in Stroud

STROUD, OK – Oklahoma Highway Patrol had to shut down westbound Interstate 44, just before 1:30 p.m. Friday, due to a fiery big rig collision, KFOR reports.

OHP has not provided a time estimate regarding when the westbound lanes of I-44, also known as Turner Turnpike, will reopen. As such, drivers are urged to seek alternative routes.

Fire crews are working to extinguish the flames. At this time, they have not confirmed how the fire started or whether anyone was injured.
