NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City police are investigating the details behind a fatal collision involving a trash truck that happened Thursday. 

A trash truck collided with another vehicle at the intersection of North Coltrane Road and Northeast 63rd Street, according to KOCO. Police responded to the scene after 10:15 a.m. and said at least one person died. 

Officers have not released the victim’s name, listed the number of people and vehicles involved, or specified how the collision unfolded.

UPDATE: Car driver loses life after colliding with garbage truck in NE OKC 

NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – According to new information from Newson6, it was a car driver who was killed after colliding with a garbage truck on Thursday. 

The collision occurred at North Coltrane Road and Northeast 63rd Street. New details show that the truck started leaking fluid after colliding with another truck. 

Hazmat crews pulled up to the scene after 10 a.m. and were able to remove that substance. 

Officials are working to determine the events that led up to the crash. The victim’s identity and pending charges have not been disclosed. 

Rollover crash reported on I-35 South near East 15th St. in Edmond 

EDMOND, OK – A rollover crash was reported on I-35 South near East 15th Street, prompting a response from emergency personnel on Thursday. 

KFOR said the impact of the crash caused a car to flip upside down. It’s unclear if anyone was entrapped or pinned inside the vehicle and if anyone was injured. 

The exact cause of the collision is under investigation. 

OK-DOT closes majority of I-35 near I-40 due to vehicle accident

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation had to shut down a majority of I-35 North south of I-40 on Thursday morning due to a vehicle accident.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol told News9 that they closed several lanes to accommodate the scene clean-up process.

Based on what officials have reported so far, it appears that two vehicles were involved in the crash. The specifics of how the crash happened, the extent of injuries, and the number of occupants involved were not reported.

Collison reported at Lincoln Blvd., E Reno Ave. in Downtown OKC

DOWNTOWN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A collision was reported at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and East Reno Avenue on Thursday.

According to Total Traffic Network’s OKC, the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. Officials have not specified how the crash unfolded, listed the number of people and vehicles involved, or said whether anyone was injured.

Law enforcement has not confirmed any citations.

EDMOND, OK – No one was injured in a crash that happened at the intersection of Northwest 150th Street and North Santa Fe Avenue on Thursday.
