OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An 18-year-old motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle collision on Interstate 35 early Sunday morning, KOCO 5 News reports.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling west on Interstate 40 with a group of other motorcyclists around 1:40 a.m. when the accident occurred. A witness report states that the rider was speeding as he entered the northbound Interstate 35 onramp and lost control of the bike.
The motorcyclist collided with the onramp’s inside barrier wall, then its outside wall and was ejected off the bike into a nearby riverbank. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Two Dead in single-vehicle collision on I-44
COTTON COUNTY, OK – A single-vehicle accident on I-44 left two dead on Friday, ABC 7 News reports.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the driver lost control of the vehicle while heading north on I-44, just south of Walters. The car veered off the road, returned to the shoulder, and exited the road once more colliding with a guardrail.
The driver and the passenger were pronounced dead on the scene
US-62 in Muskogee County closed after fatal accident
MUSKOGEE COUNTY, OK – A section of US-62 in Muskogee County was closed Sunday due to a fatal car accident, Fox 23 reports.
The accident closed down the stretch of US-62 between West 33rd Street and West 43rd Street. It has since reopened.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident resulted in the death of two people.
Accident on Eastbound I-44 causes injuries
